Epidemiology

Epidemiology is the branch of public health that studies the distribution, patterns, and determinants of health and disease conditions in defined populations. It focuses on understanding how diseases spread, the factors that influence their occurrence, and the effectiveness of interventions to control and prevent health problems. Epidemiologists collect and analyze data to identify risk factors and track the incidence and prevalence of diseases, using this information to inform public health policies and strategies for disease prevention and health promotion.
