Handball

Handball is a fast-paced team sport played by two teams, typically consisting of seven players each, who aim to score goals by throwing a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular court with specific dimensions, and players can use any part of their bodies except their feet to control and pass the ball. The primary objective is to outscore the opponent by shooting the ball into the goal while also preventing the opposing team from scoring.

Handball combines elements of basketball and soccer, emphasizing speed, agility, teamwork, and strategy. It is played in both indoor and outdoor formats, with indoor handball being more widely recognized in competitive play, including in international tournaments such as the Handball World Championships and the Olympic Games. The sport has specific rules regarding dribbling, passing, and shooting, and features a designated goal area where only the goalkeeper is allowed to enter. Handball is popular in many countries, particularly in Europe, and is governed internationally by the International Handball Federation (IHF).
